Melanie was born and raised in Florida. She attended Florida State University where she majored in Interior Design. Melanie bought her first home in 1988 when she was 18 years old and it sparked an interest in Real Estate and Investing. In 1991, Melanie moved to Atlanta, GA and began working as an independent contractor in sales and marketing. During her time in Atlanta, she continued investing in the Real Estate Market and quickly discovered that she had a passion for the business.

Melanie was adopted at birth and in 1995 she met her biological mother and father who resided in Las Vegas. After several trips, Melanie knew that she wanted to be a part of the exploding Real Estate Market that Las Vegas offered, so in 2001 she moved from Atlanta to realize her dream.

In 2001 she joined Century 21 Aadvantage Gold and in a few short years, she obtained her ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative), CRS (Certified Residential Specialists) and GRI (Graduate REALTOR® Institute) Designations. She also achieved Multi Million Dollar Producer, Master’s Ruby Producer and Century 21's highest accolade of a Centurion Producer as an individual agent and Master’s Diamond Team Award (1st year Team Status).  She has been consistently recognized in the top 2% of agents NATIONWIDE from the beginning of her career. One of her goals was to become a “By Referral Only” agent and she is proud to share that her client base is approximately 90% referral and repeat clients.

By 2007, the Las Vegas housing market changed drastically. There were more foreclosures and short sales than ever before.  Melanie knew that she needed to change with the market and decided move her license to Nevada Real Estate Services (NRES), which later franchised to SellState NRES. SellState NRES was a diversified Real Estate brokerage firm that specialized in bank owned homes and short sales. SellState had a huge share of the Foreclosure and Short Sale market in Las Vegas and they offered intense education classes that pushed Melanie to be a very knowledgeable agent in the market.

After working for years in the Las Vegas and Henderson area, in 2011 Melanie recognized a need for a different kind of Real Estate Company and made the move to Universal Realty. Universal is a very positive and comfortable environment for her and her clients. Universal Realty is dedicated to building strong relationships and business contacts in the communities in which we live, work and play.
